Our History

“I went to business school to start this company.”

—Christi Anderson, Co-Founder, Zyrra

“I want women of every shape and size to feel gorgeous. The way the industry is set up makes women feel bad about how they are actually shaped, if they’re not this ideal B or C cup. And many of us are not that.

“My father has his own company, and I grew up with the idea that you can create a company to do what you want. So I went to business school. I knew what I wanted. My essay was about the bra company I wanted to start.

“Zyrra is about helping women feel beautiful, with exactly how their bodies are right now. I’ve spent a lot of time feeling like I needed to change my body to fit someone else’s idea of how I should look. And instead, I wanted to just feel beautiful and look beautiful the way I am.”

“We believe in revolutionizing the bra industry.”

—Derek Ohly, Co-Founder, Zyrra

“I was in business school working on a project, and I met a woman who said, ‘Bras don’t work. I have a terrible time finding bras that fit, and this is a problem that a lot of women have.’

“I started talking with a lot of women about it, and I was completely blown away by the response. This is a huge problem.

“We have an industry that hasn’t been updated in almost a hundred years, in terms of sizing and the real technology around bras. So I joined with Christi and the two of us founded this company to change the way bras are sized and built and shopped for in this country.”
